Today I put together some flower hair combs, inspired by Etsy seller Gardens of Whimsy. I had some very old, very overly florid hair combs from elementary school (I won't picture them because they were too ugly) lying around; I simply ripped the old flowers off and reused the plastic combs. I bought some $1 "fall mini bundles" fabric flowers from Michaels to use for this project. They come with stems and leaves, so I cut off the flower head and pulled off the leaves for use.
For the yellow chrysanthemum comb, I hot glued the leaves onto the comb first and then glued the flowers layer by layer onto the leaves once the glue had dried.

I ended up using leftover florist's wire to tie each of the blue hydrangea clusters (3 total) onto the comb, and then hot gluing around each tied area to secure.
And here's what it looks like being worn!
