At Home
Mary and her new outfit (made from an old tote bag) made it back to Minnesota. It's a different setting for Mary; the patterns on the pillows and comforters are slightly different, crickets and blackbirds decorate the soundscape outside instead of sirens and muggers, and Paprika isn't here to bother her. Most of her old friends here are gone now, and time moves slowly but peacefully. Mary finds herself left with quite so many days to reflect on the past four years, to contemplate on her place in the world, and to wonder about the future.
