Vocab Story - Penguin Prophecy

Present us now a paean, a panegyric for a punctilious priestess here:
This prescient pundit promulgated once a prognostication pure-
"A pernicious penguin would," she presaged, "Prudently escape the zoo,
And practice such profligacy that he would purchase Persia too!
(He will be quite venal and unfortunately a parvenu)."
Scarcely had she prophesied then did a penguin perambulate by,
Truly worthy of plaudits, yet not quite propitious, for the prophecy was no lie.
